France and Germany are among the leading high-technology markets worldwide.
After Russia in 2007, France is the partner country of both BITKOM and CeBIT, the world’s largest ICT fair (Hanover), in 2008. This partnership underlines not only the traditionally strong economic ties between the two economies, moreover, it intends to prove the willingness to bring French and German ICT industries closer to each other.
The official signature of the Memorandum of Understanding between BITKOM and its strategic partner association on the French side, Syntec Informatique, is going to be supported by the presence of German Secretary of State Joachim Wuermeling and the French Ambassador Bernard de Montferrand. Based on a strong political, administrative and economic support, the French presence at CeBIT is expected to be considerable.
BITKOM and Syntec Informatique will organize a number of events at CeBIT and beyond, details of which can be found in the specific sections on the left. The initiative is expected to give a boost to ICT cooperation between companies of both countries.
At the summit, BITKOM and its partners will present a study to the public, summarizing the main findings of a survey on German-French ICT co-operation. You are invited to participate in this survey.
